of
medieval epic literature in the various Romance languages.

Members & Membership

Membership in the Société Rencesvals is open to anyone interested in the medieval Romance epic. Check out our membership list! The list of our Branch Officers is here.

If you meet the criteria for the "Bourse jeunes chercheurs", you may be eligible for support to participate in our triennial International Congress, and the America-Canadian branch is also pleased to announce a grant program to help cover conference registration for some scholars at our events.

Activities
Our main activities are providing sessions at various conference venues, international congresses, branch meetings, and the publication of bibliographical materials. The American-Canadian Branch of the Société has published Olifant, a journal dedicated to the Romance epic, and distributes an annual Bulletin Bibliographique from the International Organization. We also maintain an active email discussion list.
